Product Development (Unit Trust)

About the role

Hong Leong Bank is recruiting for a Product Development (Unit Trust) position. The role supports the bank's unit trust business by implementing product strategies, evaluating products, managing relationships with unit trust managers and helping build fee income, assets under management and overall investment product sales.

Key responsibilities

• Implement product strategy and business plans to achieve unit trust financial targets.
• Carry out due diligence and product evaluation for unit trust on-boarding, and manage relationships with unit trust managers to secure quality products in line with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
• Provide training support to the front line and ensure frontline staff complete formal initial and ongoing training.
• Manage business relationships with counterparties and internal stakeholders to secure quality products.
• Give feedback on research developments in the local financial services market.
• Apply rules and guidelines so that legal, compliance and risk management requirements are met internally and externally.
• Update product programmes and policies, and prepare user requirement specifications for system enhancements.
• Contribute to building bank investment product fee income, unit trust AUM and overall investment product sales.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Banking, Investment, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in wealth management or the financial/investment field.
• Professional investment-related certification is an added advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills: personable, approachable and collaborative.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
