Onsite Manager (Pahang Based)

About the role

The Onsite Manager will be based in Pahang and will lead the execution, coordination and successful delivery of construction and commissioning projects for Bureau Veritas. The role involves overseeing all site activities, ensuring compliance with contractual and safety requirements, and acting as the primary liaison with clients and authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for project execution, coordination and delivery at the site.
• Manage construction, installation, testing, commissioning, safety, quality and schedule performance.
• Serve as the main point of contact with clients, consultants, contractors, authorities and other stakeholders.
• Ensure work complies with contractual requirements, approved drawings, specifications, standards and HSE regulations.
• Lead and supervise site personnel, subcontractors and vendors.
• Monitor progress, manpower, costs, risks and resources, and prepare regular progress reports.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 10–15 years of experience in power generation, transmission, renewable energy, solar, utility or large‑scale industrial projects.
• Proven experience in EPC, construction, installation, commissioning or operations environments.
• Strong knowledge of project execution, construction management and commissioning processes.
• Familiarity with international engineering codes, industry standards and technical specifications.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and reporting skills.
• Experience liaising with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and Malaysian regulatory bodies.
• Willingness to be based at the project site in Pahang and travel as required.
