About the role

Zurich is seeking a New Business Underwriting Specialist to evaluate and underwrite life insurance proposals. Working within delegated authority, you will support customers and distributors while ensuring underwriting standards are met and the customer experience is maximised.

Key responsibilities

Underwrite and analyse new and existing life business within delegated authority levels, handling moderate to high‑complexity cases.
Provide technical underwriting support and guidance to customers and distributors, delivering excellent service.
Maintain distributor relationships by requesting correct evidence, making accurate decisions, and explaining rating outcomes.
Complete queries and referrals within authority limits, measuring exposure and analysing risk to uphold underwriting standards.
Contribute to the development and improvement of underwriting standards, controls, practices and procedures.
Identify training opportunities for self and others and assist with training as directed.
