Head of Investment Assurance

About the role

The Head of Investment Assurance leads first‑line assurance activities across Investment Management, supporting the CIO with strategic advisory and oversight. The role ensures risks are identified, assessed and mitigated while maintaining compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice on control gaps, policy interpretation and support senior management decision‑making.
• Lead the design and continuous improvement of first‑line governance architecture to strengthen control effectiveness.
• Perform assurance activities such as gap analysis, attestation against group and regulatory guidelines, and monitor investment limits for violations.
• Maintain Bloomberg Front Office Systems, including setting, testing and monitoring compliance rules.
• Coordinate with risk, compliance, internal audit and legal functions, and prepare periodic and ad‑hoc reports for committees and senior management.

Required profile

• Degree in Legal, Finance, Investment, Economics, Actuarial Science, Accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in investment, risk, compliance or audit, preferably in insurance or finance.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and stakeholder‑management skills with a proactive, risk‑aware mindset.
• Good understanding of BNM and/or SC regulatory requirements and financial market products.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Bloomberg compliance functions and Bloomberg Front Office Systems.
• Ability to conduct gap analysis, policy reviews and monitor investment limits.
