Murex Business Analyst - Treasury

About the role

Encora is hiring a Murex Business Analyst for its Malaysia team in Kuala Lumpur. The role sits within the Treasury function, working with vendors to deliver and support Murex banking applications, covering requirements, data migration, testing and post-go-live support.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the Treasury business domain, document processes and systems and ensure the end-to-end system architecture is documented so the vendor's application meets Treasury's business model and requirements.
• Prepare and document business requirements with Treasury desks, and review functional and technical specifications against them.
• Document data migration requirements, map source data to the new system and document data transformations.
• Bridge the gap between Treasury users and the vendor, and keep the defect list under control until issues are closed.
• Provide a clear list of change requests to the vendor after requirement gathering.
• Ensure the vendor delivers user access management and audit trails that comply with IT security policies, and help IT security define those requirements.
• Write test cases for UAT/ORI/SIT and drive conversion trial runs, including data reconciliation and reporting.
• Review and sign off conversion trials and reconcile source and migrated data.
• After go-live, collect user feedback on issues and enhancements and work with the vendor to improve the system.

Required profile

• Experience in Treasury or banking projects, delivering medium and large-scale projects.
• Hands-on experience migrating front-to-back banking or large corporate treasury programmes.
• Proactive, independent work style with strong initiative and multicultural awareness.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, excellent written and spoken English, and a strong team player.

Required skills

• Preferred: Treasury, banking and finance experience.
• Preferred: CRM tool implementation experience.
• Preferred: SQL, PL/SQL, Hibernate SQL, XML, FPML, Unix shell scripting.
• Preferred: strong understanding of relational databases.
• Preferred: Agile, Jira and Confluence experience.
