Material Planning Executive

About the role

AIXTRON, a manufacturer of deposition equipment for third-generation semiconductors, is building a new greenfield manufacturing and engineering hub in Batu Kawan, Penang, with operations planned to start in 2027. It is looking for a purpose-driven Material Planning Executive to join the team as pioneers of the Malaysia site, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. Most work is at the Batu Kawan site, with occasional requests to work at the Kulim site.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and validate MRP runs in SAP, analyze exception messages and generate purchase requisitions on time
• Calculate safety stock, reorder points and lot sizes, and optimize planning parameters
• Manage inventory to meet service levels, reduce stock, and handle excess and obsolete materials
• Lead material cycle counts and own the accuracy of material master data
• Track material shortages, define allocation priorities and coordinate recovery with Procurement and Production Planning
• Support production scheduling, NPI ramp-up and material kitting with the warehouse supervisor
• Provide forecasts and call-off schedules to procurement, support supplier negotiations and review orders for LMW duty-free materials
• Keep material planning data aligned with LMW bond record requirements and support customs audits

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field
• 3-5 years in material planning, production planning or inventory control in a Malaysian manufacturing environment
• Fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Experience with LMW is a strong advantage

Required skills

• Understanding of BOM structures, MRP logic and safety stock calculations
• Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
