Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

AIXTRON is building a new greenfield manufacturing and engineering hub in Batu Kawan, Penang, with operations planned to start in 2027. It is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, inventory control and team supervision. The role reports to the Operational Logistics Manager and involves a reasonable amount of hands-on physical work such as rack and stack.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily receiving of raw materials, packaging and components, verifying quantities against delivery orders and POs
• Ensure proper put-away, binning and labeling following FIFO/FEFO, and timely material issuance to production
• Oversee picking, packing and staging of finished goods for outbound shipments
• Maintain cleanliness, organization and safety (5S / lean standards)
• Run daily cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies and prevent recurrence of errors
• Support monthly and annual physical inventory, prepare counting sheets and supervise counting teams
• Report slow-moving, obsolete or damaged stock to the manager and ensure bonded inventory is kept separate from non-bonded stock
• Perform and verify SAP transactions (goods receipt, goods issue, transfer posting) and maintain bin location records and WMS
• Prepare daily warehouse reports and act as first-level support for system issues
• Enforce safe use of forklifts and reach trucks, schedule equipment maintenance checks, ensure PPE use and take part in safety audits
• Lead, schedule and train material handlers, monitor attendance and performance, and give input to the Operational Logistics Manager on appraisals and development

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in logistics, supply chain management or a related field; bachelor's degree preferred
• 3-5 years in warehouse operations in a Malaysian manufacturing environment, with 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead role
• Familiarity with LMW bonded warehouse requirements and customs record keeping
• Fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Ability to work under pressure in a shift environment and attention to detail

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with SAP and WMS, and Microsoft Excel
• Valid forklift / reach truck certification is an advantage
