IT Manager (Head of Department)

About the role

The company Smarthire by SEEK is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead its IT department in Bayan Lepas, Penang. The role reports directly to the Managing Director and is responsible for overseeing all IT operations, including infrastructure, security, software development, and vendor management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full IT department, including senior specialists and engineers.
• Oversee infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Ensure robust security measures across all systems and networks.
• Manage software development initiatives and coordinate with vendors.
• Report IT performance and strategy to the Managing Director.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT roles.
• At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership position.
• Proven ability to lead senior IT specialists and engineers.
• Experience working in an industrial zone (FIZ) environment is preferred.
