About the role
Bureau Veritas is seeking an experienced HSE Specialist to support offshore drilling operations on the East Coast of Malaysia. The role involves conducting independent third‑party inspections, auditing safety management systems, and ensuring compliance with offshore HSE regulations.
Required profile
- Minimum 10 years of offshore drilling rig experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to independent third‑party HSE inspections and safety management system auditing.
- Previous experience as a Safety Officer or HSE Advisor on offshore drilling units.
- Valid internationally recognised HSE certification (e.g., NEBOSH) and must be Malaysian.
Required skills
- Conducting Dropped Object Prevention Scheme (DROPS) surveys.
- Auditing HSE Management Systems and identifying safety gaps.
- Strong knowledge of offshore HSE regulations, industry standards and risk management principles.
