Geotechnical Engineer

About the role

The Geotechnical Engineer will work primarily from our Kuala Lumpur office, providing expert geotechnical design input and conducting site inspections as required. You will support design teams across a range of infrastructure projects, ensuring safe and cost‑effective ground solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare geotechnical interpretative and design reports for various projects.
• Take charge of day‑to‑day geotechnical design tasks, including foundations, slopes, piles, retaining walls and ground improvement.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify ground conditions and assess risks.
• Review design assumptions and develop practical geotechnical solutions.
• Collaborate regularly with the Senior Geotechnical Engineer and other team members on technical matters.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 3‑5 years of experience in geotechnical investigation and design within a consulting environment.
• Registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is mandatory.
• Proven experience designing deep and shallow foundations, slopes, piles, retaining walls and ground improvement works.
