About the role

We are expanding our freelance pool to support an automotive technology account. The role involves post‑editing machine‑translated content and proofreading materials that are produced in Simplified Chinese and need to be delivered in Malay.

Key responsibilities

Perform full post‑editing (MTPE) of machine‑translated automotive texts.
Proofread and quality‑check translated UI strings, user guides, manuals and related documents.
Ensure terminology consistency and adherence to automotive style guides.
Complete subject‑specific tests to qualify for tasks.

Required profile

Native speaker of Malay.
2+ years of professional translation experience with a language‑related degree, or 5+ years without a degree.
Demonstrated experience in automotive or vehicle‑related translation projects.

Required skills

Proficiency in Simplified Chinese → Malay translation.
Machine Translation Post‑Editing (MTPE).
Proofreading of technical and automotive content.

What we offer

Per‑word rates (separate rates for MTPE and proofreading).
Payment in USD within 45 days via bank transfer or PayPal.
