EV Reporting, Assistant Manager

About the role

This Assistant Manager position covers Embedded Value (EV) reporting in Kuala Lumpur. It is responsible for EV business forecasting, cash flow projections, earnings analysis and group reporting, supporting timely production of EV/EEV results, providing commentary on performance and strengthening actuarial reporting controls and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain actuarial data and generate model points to support EV movement analysis
• Produce monthly reporting of EV-related financial KPIs with detailed commentary and variance analysis
• Support quarterly EV/EEV reporting and provide analytical insights for stakeholders
• Contribute to annual business planning, scenario analysis and stress testing, documenting assumptions and outcomes
• Deliver cash flow projections, earnings analysis and management information for group reporting
• Maintain documentation, governance and controls so work is auditable and repeatable
• Improve reporting processes, including automation where appropriate
• Work with Finance, Risk, Valuation and other actuarial teams
• Review and guide junior staff, and take part in special projects on financial management and valuation transformation

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant actuarial experience, ideally in life insurance reporting, valuation or financial management
• Degree in Actuarial Science, STEM, Business or Finance
• Good progress in actuarial examinations (part-qualified or equivalent)
• Fluent English, written and spoken

Required skills

• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to explain complex actuarial concepts to non-actuarial audiences
• Experience with Prophet models and SQL/DCS is advantageous
