Design Director

About the role

Yobbi Consultancy is hiring a Design Director in Malaysia for a full-time position. The role leads the design team and owns the design strategy, product UI/UX design and brand visual identity, with a salary range of MYR 40,000 to 50,000.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design team, set development strategies and raise the overall design level
• Guide the daily work of UI/UX, advertising and creative designers, giving professional guidance and feedback
• Develop and implement the company's product design strategy, ensuring consistent style and user experience and promoting design innovation
• Take responsibility for the UI/UX design of all company apps, including cryptocurrency wallets, payment wallets and live broadcast apps
• Own the brand's visual image and keep it consistent across media
• Develop and maintain design standards and specifications, and optimize workflows so projects are delivered on time

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in design-related fields such as art design or visual communication
• At least 8 years of experience in UI/UX design, brand design or similar
• Experience managing design teams in internet companies or large enterprises, and familiarity with medium-to-large project processes
• Fluent Mandarin and English reading and writing, to liaise with Chinese-speaking clients
• Extensive mobile product design experience and some knowledge of cryptocurrency, payments and sports live streaming are preferred

Required skills

• Proficiency in Sketch, Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• Familiarity with the UX design process, strong user research, interaction and visual design abilities
