Creative Specialist (Contract) - Video Content

About the role

TSL Malaysia is looking for a highly creative and strategic Creative Specialist to join its team, based in the Mid Valley office in Kuala Lumpur. As a senior individual contributor, you will own creative strategy, grow audience engagement and drive creative performance across platforms, working closely with the Creative Manager and guiding junior producers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end production of video content, from pre-production planning and on-site filming to post-production editing
• Own scriptwriting, directing, cinematography and editing with strong storytelling and pacing
• Develop creative concepts that fit TSL Malaysia's creative strategy and meet brand and editorial standards
• Identify trends and audience interests, build platform-specific strategies for TikTok, Instagram and others, and turn analytics into actionable recommendations
• Review scripts, storyboards and edits, give feedback and mentor junior creators
• Lead content projects from planning to delivery, plan creative calendars and work with Brand Partnerships, Marketing and Commercial teams
• Improve production workflows and recommend new tools and processes

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Journalism, Marketing or a related field
• 4-6 years of experience in digital creative creation, video production or a similar role
• Proven ability to lead full creative production independently
• Excellent written and spoken English

Required skills

• Scriptwriting, videography and video editing (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
• Understanding of social media platforms, audience behaviour and content analytics
• Nice to have: graphic design, motion graphics, AI-powered creative tools or branded creative production
