Creative Executive (MY)

About the role

The Smart Local Malaysia is looking for a self-motivated Creative Executive to join its Kuala Lumpur office in Mid Valley. The role owns the creative side of projects, focusing on visual storytelling and content production, and works closely with cross-functional teams to develop and run creative strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Create and execute videography and photography content for TSLMY's media platforms
• Write scripts, copy and captions suited to each piece of content
• Edit videos with attention to pacing, tone and storytelling for social media using industry-standard tools
• Act as talent and host
• Ideate and develop on-brand content ideas and segments with viral potential
• Research and curate factual information supporting content creation
• Own client and organic campaigns from start to finish, working with project managers and content strategists
• Take on ad hoc tasks to support the team

Required profile

• 2+ years of relevant experience with a strong portfolio
• Well-versed in videography and photography from pre- to post-production
• Good understanding of digital content and the social media landscape
• Creative thinker who follows trends and turns them into video and photo ideas
• Good hosting and talenting ability
• Excellent command of English
• Efficient, able to juggle several projects under tight deadlines, and a quick learner

Required skills

• Editing, preferably Premiere Pro (other editors welcome)
• Videography and photography
• Data analysis and research skills (a plus)
