Coastal Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Coastal Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team in Kuala Lumpur. You will support the planning and design of civil engineering projects such as land reclamation, port construction and other coastal structures, both locally and overseas.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in site investigation planning, data interpretation and geotechnical analysis for quay walls, jetties, revetments and reclamation works.
• Prepare technical calculations, reports, drawings and specifications.
• Manage sub‑contracts for soil investigations, biodiversity studies and other specialist services.
• Supervise design and on‑site activities to ensure compliance with statutory standards and codes of practice.
• Support tender preparation and project pursuit activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering recognised by the relevant regulatory body.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Team‑player, self‑motivated and able to multitask.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in reclamation design is an advantage, but fresh graduates are welcome.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Familiarity with engineering software such as Plaxis, GeoStudio, STAAD.Pro and Prokon (advantageous).
