Business Development Assistant (Influencer Marketing)

About the role

X10 Media is the influencer marketing arm of The Smart Local, connecting brands with creators who sell products for them. This Business Development Assistant role sits in the company's Mid Valley, Kuala Lumpur office and covers the commercial side of the business: finding brands that should run influencer campaigns, contacting the right people and helping turn the first cold email into a signed agreement. The position is open to students and recent graduates and requires a commitment of at least 24 weeks (6 months).

Key responsibilities

• Source and prospect potential brands through various communication channels.
• Craft proposals with suggested strategies and directions for brand collaborations.
• Prepare campaign agreements and invoices for brands.
• Take part in company meetings and possibly company events.
• Assist with campaign ideation, content planning and execution for social media and video production.
• Carry out ad hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Currently studying or recently finished a diploma or degree; business, communications and marketing are the obvious fits but not strictly required.
• Follows social media closely and has opinions on current creators and campaigns.
• Able to write clear emails and accept feedback to improve them.
• Team player able to build strong professional relationships, with good people skills, analytical thinking and problem solving.
• Willing to commit to a minimum of 24 weeks (6 months) of internship.
