Associate I – Procurement Operations (Japanese Speaker)

About the role

The Associate I, Procurement Operations (Japanese Speaker) supports procurement processes for assigned businesses, ensuring quality, timeliness and effectiveness while acting as a key liaison for APAC‑specific language requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support transitions and knowledge transfer for APAC language‑specific processes and migrate them to the blueprint on schedule.
• Provide operational oversight, handle exceptions and maintain a customer‑focused service level.
• Coordinate with local teams and business functions to deliver seamless procurement services.
• Review purchase requisitions and shopping carts for data accuracy, payment terms and supporting documents in Ariba and SAP.
• Act as first‑point‑of‑contact for help‑desk support, resolving PO, vendor, invoice and contract issues.
• Create reports and perform data analysis to meet business requirements.
• Ensure shopping‑cart compliance, adhere to sourcing guidelines and maintain documented processes.
• Promote a strong control environment, follow up on audit findings and implement corrective measures.

Required profile

• University degree.
• Fluent in English and Japanese (written and spoken).
• Minimum 1 year of procurement experience.
• Positive attitude with focus on continuous improvement.
• Experience engaging with global stakeholders.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• SAP knowledge.
• Ariba procurement platform experience.
