UI/UX Designer

About the role

Zurich Insurance is looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer in Kuala Lumpur to lead user experience design thinking and build comprehensive UI/UX design strategies using current trends and methodologies, including user testing. The designer works with business teams to create customer-centric designs for direct and partner channels.

Key responsibilities

• Visualize complex information and concepts simply and effectively across design channels and touchpoints
• Take part in design projects from concept to completion, producing engaging design solutions
• Develop UI mock-ups and Hi-Fi prototypes, and create original graphic designs such as banners, interfaces, presentations and infographics
• Pitch creative ideas and collaborate with team members to launch designs
• Facilitate design workshops with users and stakeholders from business, tech and marketing
• Conduct user research and usability testing to co-create with customers and stakeholders
• Develop user experience and customer journey designs where required, applying Design Thinking to turn customer needs into prototypes

Required profile

• 5-8 years or more of experience in UX/UI, ideally in financial services
• Ability to understand project requirements and concepts and to pitch creative ideas

Required skills

• Design software such as InVision and Figma, and graphics tools such as Sketch, Photoshop and Illustrator
• User journey tools such as smaply and Mural
• Sprint participation, prototyping tools and design thinking methodologies
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, mobile-first and responsive design, Bootstrap
• Storytelling through PowerPoint presentations
