Senior Manager – Product Proposition

About the role

The Senior Manager – Product Proposition will lead the design, development and launch of new and enhanced insurance products for both individual and group channels, ensuring alignment with market needs, regulatory requirements and Zurich’s strategic direction.

Key responsibilities

• Strategize and deliver new or enhanced products for all FT channels (individual and group) in line with company direction, market needs and regulatory requirements.
• Recommend product strategy and identify potential proposals through competitor analysis, focus groups and collaboration with distribution teams.
• Design new FT products or enhancements with differentiating features to create a competitive edge.
• Manage the product development cycle, coordinating with pricing, underwriting, distribution, legal and compliance to obtain approvals and document decisions.
• Lead end‑to‑end product development according to SOPs, overseeing cross‑functional teams and ensuring timely delivery of product collaterals such as certificates, disclosure sheets and marketing illustrations.
• Conduct market research and competitiveness studies for new products or enhancements.
• Review and challenge proposition development for risk, guarantees, suitability and business case.
• Oversee system requirements, review test scripts and ensure robust UAT sign‑off.
• Coordinate product notifications and internal training with the Distribution team.
• Lead post‑implementation reviews, assess proposition success and drive corrective actions.
