About the role

NXP is looking for an Accounting Intern in Kuala Lumpur for 2026. The intern supports the accounting team with month-end and year-end closing, statutory and tax work, payroll accounting and compliance coordination.

Key responsibilities

Perform monthly or quarterly closing activities, including posting journal entries and balance sheet reconciliation
Assist with statutory and tax accounting, including local compliance reporting, external submissions, withholding tax filing and preparation of tax packages
Assist with payroll accounting close and reconciliation
Assist with coordination of SOX and compliance matters
Support and implement initiatives for automation, process improvement and transformation in accounting and statutory areas

Required profile

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business, or holding a professional certification such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or CPA
Minimum CGPA of 3.4
Proactive attitude, good critical thinking and communication skills
Adaptable to the day-to-day environment of a multinational company
