People Business Partner Manager

About the role

The People Business Partner Manager will lead and execute People & Capability initiatives across Malaysia and Thailand, acting as a cultural change agent and trusted advisor to business leaders. This role partners closely with global, regional and local teams to ensure HR programs are effectively implemented and aligned with business strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver core People & Capability programs, including talent and performance management, learning, compensation planning and workforce planning.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert on local labour market regulations and ensure compliance.
• Act as primary liaison with COEs and GBSC for program delivery and customization.
• Coach people leaders and employees on development, employee relations and reward issues.
• Manage day‑to‑day delivery of local HR projects and serve as first point of contact for AP HR inquiries.
• Provide local market intelligence to Total Rewards and COEs to improve program effectiveness.
• Oversee data collection and reporting to drive quantitative and qualitative improvements in People & Capability processes.
• Identify and roll out wellness, culture and career development initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading HR generalist activities, including employee relations, reward advice, talent and performance management.
• Strong consulting and advisory skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
• Deep understanding of local labour market and regulatory environment.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with global, regional and local stakeholders.
• Excellent coaching and communication abilities.
