Test Engineer

About the role

Bosch Group is expanding its semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan, Penang. The Test Engineer will support the final testing phase of automotive electronics, sensors and semiconductors, ensuring equipment reliability and high‑quality output.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and calibration of test machines.
• Analyse downtime, diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults, and execute repairs.
• Locate and repair failures on measurement boards and PCBs.
• Prepare daily overviews of BIN topics and update circuit diagrams according to engineering specifications.
• Collaborate with equipment engineers to reduce failures, improve quality and lower costs.
• Lead 8D problem‑solving activities and manage lot disposals.
• Instruct operators, support production, and ensure spare‑part availability.
• Assist with FMEA and Control Plan activities.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in engineering functions, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with consumer‑electronics testing equipment or pressure sensors is an advantage.

Required skills

• Equipment maintenance and calibration.
• PCB fault localisation and repair.
• Circuit diagram adaptation.
• FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
• Control Plan implementation.
