Supply Chain Modeling & Optimization Specialist

About the role

The Supply Chain Modeling & Optimization Specialist will support BASF's digital transformation by designing and implementing Control Tower solutions for overseas delivery services. This role focuses on improving supply chain resilience, reducing manual effort, and enabling data‑driven decision making across the Kuala Lumpur hub.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tactical support for door‑to‑door supply chain delivery processes.
• Monitor exceptions at each stage, manage escalations, and drive disruption monitoring with what‑if scenarios.
• Support crisis management by delivering impact analyses and recommending corrective actions.
• Conduct market analysis to identify trends, new opportunities, alternate ports, carriers, and transport modes.
• Design and implement Control Tower solutions in collaboration with solution architects and business partners.
• Translate customer requirements and use cases into functional Control Tower specifications.
• Lead change‑management activities and communicate updates to stakeholders.
