About the role

Join Bosch Cross‑Domain Computing Solutions in Penang as a Senior Linux Embedded Software Engineer. You will work on cutting‑edge automotive platforms, contributing to V2X connectivity, infotainment, and cockpit solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams on software design and architecture.
• Gather and analyse customer, internal, and vehicle‑specific interface requirements.
• Perform requirement, design, and code reviews following Bosch’s engineering process.
• Develop, unit‑test, and release embedded Linux software.
• Create test specifications, execute test plans, and troubleshoot failures.
• Produce technical reports, design analyses, and documentation.
• Support manufacturing troubleshooting and provide post‑production assistance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related science.
• Proven experience in embedded software engineering and hands‑on development on embedded targets.
• Strong programming background in C, C++ or other object‑oriented languages.

Required skills

• Linux embedded development, cross‑compiling and OS toolchains.
• Yocto/Debian build systems.
• Linux file system management.
• Debugging with GDB and scripting with Linux Bash.
• Linux driver porting and Kernel device‑tree knowledge.
