Senior Linux Embedded Software Engineer – Automotive Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Linux Embedded Software Engineer to join Bosch Cross-Domain Computing Solutions in Bayan Lepas. You will work on cutting‑edge automotive platforms such as V2X control units and infotainment systems, contributing to the digital transformation of vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, develop and integrate embedded Linux software.
• Capture and analyse customer and vehicle interface requirements and translate them into technical concepts.
• Perform requirement, design and code reviews following Bosch’s software engineering process.
• Develop, unit‑test and release software using Bosch’s SW release procedures.
• Create test specifications, execute test plans and troubleshoot failures.
• Produce technical documentation, design analyses and support manufacturing troubleshooting.
• Provide post‑production support for released products.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in embedded software development on Linux targets.
• Hands‑on expertise in debugging and troubleshooting embedded systems.
• Ability to read schematics and component data sheets.

Required skills

• Strong programming in C and C++ (object‑oriented).
• Linux embedded development, cross‑compiling and OS toolchains.
• Yocto and Debian build systems.
• Linux file‑system management, GDB debugging and Bash scripting.
• Linux driver porting and Kernel device‑tree configuration.
