Senior Associate, Product Stewardship

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Associate in Product Stewardship to lead research initiatives and optimise manufacturing processes for eye‑care products. The role combines advanced technical expertise with strong problem‑solving abilities to ensure robust, compliant production.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with process owners, Process Control and Technical Stewardship teams to define critical process parameters and maintain robust control.
• Support and lead quality investigations arising from internal non‑conformances.
• Monitor, analyse and improve existing processes using engineering principles.
• Provide data and documentation for product transfers, ensuring technical alignment at receiving sites.
• Partner with Validation team to align validation strategies.
• Initiate and manage change controls for products and processes, aligning with regulatory timelines.
• Lead material change and second‑source feasibility studies and qualification activities.
• Drive continuous‑improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Science or Engineering.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or medical‑device regulated manufacturing.
• Background in risk management and product life‑cycle management.
• At least 3 years of project‑management experience leading cross‑functional teams.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 14971, MDSAP and QMSR.
