Senior Associate - Assurance (PwC Acceleration Center KL)

About the role

PwC's Acceleration Center Kuala Lumpur is looking for a Senior Associate in Assurance. The role delivers financial statement audits within the Assurance practice, working directly with clients to understand their businesses, analyse complex financial data and provide insights that drive decisions. It also involves building client relationships and guiding junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial statement audits in line with GAAS and GAAP
• Analyse and interpret complex financial data to identify trends and insights
• Review and verify financial documents for compliance with accounting and reporting standards
• Use auditing methods to assess internal controls and find areas for improvement
• Manage client relationships and support their financial reporting needs
• Work with teams to develop and run data-driven audit strategies
• Apply data analysis and visualisation techniques to improve audit processes
• Monitor financial trends to inform audit planning and execution
• Keep up with changes in accounting policies and regulations
• Mentor junior team members on technical accounting and auditing

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Chartered Accountant, or equivalent (e.g. ICAEW, ACCA, MICPA-CAANZ, CPA Australia)
• At least 2 years of experience
• Oral and written English
