Sales Engineer / Sales Manager

About the role

The Senior Sales Engineer / Sales Manager will drive new business, upsell and cross‑sell within an extensive install base, delivering results against a quota while supporting customers across Malaysia.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies in Malaysia.
• Meet with customers to understand requirements and propose tailored solutions.
• Prepare and deliver proposals including pricing, shipment timelines, and product details.
• Manage and grow key accounts while acquiring new customers to increase revenue.
• Collaborate with channel partners and internal technical teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Track sales activities, forecast revenue, and report performance to the SEA Sales Team Lead.
• Serve as the main point of contact for customer issues, coordinating with support teams as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Communication Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of proven B2B technical or solution sales experience, preferably in industrial automation, electronics, or SMT industries.
• Successful independent account management and regional sales strategy execution.
• Hands‑on experience managing distributor relationships and driving sales growth across assigned territories.
• Strong knowledge of SMT inspection equipment (SPI, AOI, AXI) is a significant advantage.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Highly motivated with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and a goal‑oriented mindset.
• Willingness to travel frequently for customer visits across Malaysia.
