Safety Officer (Green Book Holder)

About the role

The Safety Officer (Green Book Holder) will support the implementation of workplace safety measures at our construction sites in Juru, Penang. This full-time, on-site position focuses on maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel. The role involves collaborating with site managers to ensure that all safety protocols are effectively applied and assisting in the preparation of safety reports and recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing workplace safety policies and procedures, ensuring they are communicated and adhered to across all project activities.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of the worksite, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with local safety regulations, industry standards, and company guidelines, and take appropriate measures to address any non-conformities.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and safety training activities, and prepare reports for management review.
• Promote a culture of safety by raising awareness among workers, providing guidance on safe practices, and encouraging reporting of unsafe conditions.

Required profile

• Demonstrates a strong commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and upholding safety standards.
• Capable of working independently on-site, coordinating with various teams to ensure safety measures are in place.
• Exhibits keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
