Retail District Manager – Manage Retail Outlets

About the role

The Retail District Manager will oversee a portfolio of retail outlets, ensuring operational excellence and consistent customer experience across the district. This position reports to senior leadership and plays a key role in driving growth for a fast‑expanding retail unicorn from China.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of multiple retail stores within the assigned district.
• Develop and implement sales and merchandising strategies to achieve revenue targets.
• Monitor store performance metrics, conduct regular audits, and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead, coach, and evaluate store managers and their teams.
• Coordinate with supply chain, marketing, and finance to ensure seamless store operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail store operations, preferably in hypermarket or regional management.
• Strong understanding of multi‑site retail management and performance monitoring.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kuala Lumpur and travel within the district as needed.
