Quality Technician – Metrology

About the role

The Quality Technician (Metrology) will work in Bosch's laboratory in Bayan Lepas, supporting the measurement and inspection of initial samples for automotive and industrial products. You will ensure accurate data collection, maintain equipment, and collaborate with suppliers to align measurement methods.

Key responsibilities

• Perform measurements on initial samples and deliver measurement reports within agreed timelines.
• Safely store initial samples, label them correctly, and keep the database up‑to‑date.
• Provide measurement support, analysis, and prepare detailed reports.
• Participate in measurement method alignment activities with suppliers when required.
• Execute incoming inspections according to the inspection plan.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory measurement equipment.
• Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies for test equipment.
• Escalate any special non‑conformities to senior staff.
• Maintain 7S standards in the workplace and laboratory.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor to meet targets or deadlines.

Required profile

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and understand measurement requirements.
• Knowledge of product inspection and test plans.
• Capability to analyse data and propose alternative solutions.
• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering.
