Purchasing Senior Executive / Lead

About the role

AlphaESS Malaysia is seeking a dynamic Purchasing Senior Executive to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for the country’s first battery storage manufacturer. This on‑site, full‑time position will play a pivotal role in ensuring a reliable supply chain that supports production and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for raw materials and components.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to expand the supplier base.
• Lead commercial negotiations to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Manage day‑to‑day purchasing activities and order processing.
• Monitor and improve supplier performance through KPIs and continuous feedback.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering and finance to align procurement with production schedules.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain, preferably in manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead supplier development and negotiate contracts.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimisation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
