Process and Equipment Engineer (Inertial Sensors)

About the role

Join Bosch's newest semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan, Penang, as a Process and Equipment Engineer focusing on inertial sensor backend testing. You will ensure high equipment availability and drive continuous improvement in a fast‑growing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain backend test equipment (ATE systems, handlers, probers, unloaders) to meet production demand.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance programs and corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Develop, qualify and optimise test processes, recipes and parameters for yield, throughput and quality.
• Perform yield monitoring, trend and failure analysis, implementing sustainable corrective actions.
• Support test program releases, changes and re‑runs in line with SEMI standards and engineering change controls.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as OEE, cycle‑time and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Test Development, Planning, Facilities and vendors to resolve issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1 to 5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing.

Required skills

• Experience with ATE systems, handlers, probers and unloaders.
• Preventive maintenance and equipment reliability.
• Yield monitoring, SPC and failure analysis.
• Knowledge of SEMI standards, FMEA and control plans.
