Planning Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Planning Manager to lead and manage the overall production planning function at Laser Industries. The role focuses on ensuring a stable production flow, aligning resources with demand, and supporting continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations in Sungai Petani.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain short‑term and long‑term production schedules to meet customer demand and inventory targets.
• Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to secure necessary materials and capacity.
• Monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to maintain on‑time delivery.
• Analyse demand forecasts and adjust plans accordingly to optimise resource utilisation.
• Prepare regular planning reports for senior management and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
