Payroll & People Data Analyst (Mandarin Speaker) – 9‑Month Contract

About the role

This 9‑month contract position supports the payroll and HR data functions for a leasing business in Kuala Lumpur. The analyst will work closely with HR, finance and external service providers to ensure accurate processing of payroll, time‑and‑attendance, and related employee data.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain data quality and integrity for payroll and HR information.
• Process personnel administration requests, including onboarding, terminations, leaves, overtime and shift changes.
• Manage the full termination workflow, from calculations to exit clearance.
• Support payroll inputs such as subsidies, fleet management and long‑service awards.
• Assist with salary review preparation, letter generation and new salary processing.
• Prepare and submit statutory HR reports in compliance with local legislation.
• Produce custom HR reports when standard analytics tools cannot generate them.
• Provide advisory support on employee enquiries, policy clarifications and HR system usage.

Required profile

• Fluent Mandarin speaker with strong written and verbal English skills.
• Experience in payroll administration and HR data management.
• Knowledge of Malaysian labour legislation and statutory reporting requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and external partners.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical mindset.
