Payroll & People Data Analyst (Mandarin Speaker) – 12‑Month Lease

About the role

This 12‑month leased position supports the payroll and people data function for a multinational organization in Kuala Lumpur. The analyst will serve Mandarin‑speaking business units, ensuring accurate payroll processing, HR data integrity, and compliance with local legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain data quality and integrity for payroll and HR data across multiple systems.
• Receive, analyse, and process personnel administration requests, coordinating with payroll, finance, analytics, external providers and authorities.
• Manage end‑to‑end termination workflows, including leave calculations, documentation, system updates and exit clearance.
• Administer time‑and‑attendance records, manual allowance/deduction calculations, work schedules, overtime and shift substitutions.
• Support payroll inputs such as employee subsidies, fleet management and long‑service awards.
• Assist with salary review processes, preparing data, generating letters and processing new salaries.
• Handle local labour administration and statutory HR reporting to meet legal deadlines.
• Design and deliver custom country‑specific reports when standard analytics cannot generate them.
• Provide advisory support on employee enquiries, policy clarifications, HR processes and system usage.
• Monitor service requests against SLA and KPI targets, escalating issues as required.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of payroll and HR data processes and local employment legislation.
• Ability to deliver day‑to‑day support and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude toward process improvement, automation and digitalisation.
• Excellent research skills to stay updated on market insights and regulatory changes.
• Fluent Mandarin (spoken and written) to serve regional business units.
