Officer, Cargo Maintenance Support & Facilities

About the role

The Officer, Cargo Maintenance Support & Facilities ensures that all equipment and property at MAB Kargo Penang Airport operate safely and efficiently. You will oversee the upkeep of dollies, trolleys, pallet handling systems, scales, dock levelers, cold rooms, and forklifts while guaranteeing compliance with local safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain equipment to meet aviation authority, manufacturer, and customer quality standards.
• Verify vendor work aligns with management specifications.
• Coordinate resources with other departments for maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with regulations such as DOSH, DOE, Bomba, and related Acts.
• Achieve departmental targets for equipment and facility serviceability.
• Follow Integrated Management System procedures and department SOPs.
• Promote quality, good housekeeping, and safety among the team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by superiors.

Required profile

• Minimum SPM, SPMV, DVM, STPM, SKM, Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Aviation Management or related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in cargo operations, facility maintenance or logistics support.
• Experience with ground support equipment (GSE) or warehouse facilities is advantageous.
• Background working with cargo airlines, forwarding agents or manufacturing facilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience using SAP or other maintenance tracking systems.
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures and safety regulations (DOSH, DOE, Bomba).
