MEP Engineer – Data Centre Projects

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on MEP Engineer to join our high‑tech projects team in Penang. The role focuses on data‑centre developments, where you will be responsible for managing mechanical, electrical and plumbing designs, overseeing site execution and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and coordinate MEP drawings and documentation for data‑centre projects.
• Supervise on‑site installation and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and vendors to resolve technical issues and maintain project schedules.
• Monitor quality control processes and conduct inspections to guarantee workmanship meets required standards.
• Support project reporting, progress tracking and hand‑over documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in MEP engineering for data‑centre or similar high‑tech facilities.
• Strong understanding of local building codes, safety standards and quality assurance procedures.
• Ability to work on‑site full‑time in Penang and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
