Manager, Customs Data Management & KPI

About the role

The Customs Data Manager ensures global consistency of customs data sourced from authorities, third‑party providers and internal systems. The role drives the mapping, validation and integration of this data into BASF’s customs dashboards and related applications, supporting business units with duty analysis and regulatory insights.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain the Customs Dashboards and Tariff Simulation application, including access authorisation and development.
• Define and monitor global customs KPIs, uploading results to the GB Scorecard.
• Translate new laws, regulations and customs agreements into dashboard updates and process changes.
• Collaborate with customs communities, supply‑chain excellence, and AI teams to implement data‑driven improvements.
• Provide training and consultancy to regional business units on customs data and duty optimisation.
• Analyse internal and external customs data, presenting findings in standardized visual formats.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Law, Supply Chain, Business Analytics or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in customs compliance, trade compliance or related data‑management roles.
• Proven ability to work with global stakeholders and drive consistent data practices.
