Maintenance & Process Engineer – Consumer Electronics

About the role

The Maintenance, Process and Equipment Engineer will support Bosch’s newest semiconductor test plant in Batu Kawan, ensuring that all consumer‑electronics equipment operates reliably and meets engineering specifications. You will be responsible for routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of machines, measurement boards and carrier systems.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance according to the maintenance plan, including machine calibration.
• Diagnose downtime causes and perform mechanical, electrical and electronic repairs on equipment.
• Locate and repair failures on measurement boards and PCBs, and adapt circuit diagrams to engineering specifications.
• Align equipment mechanically and electrically per supplier specifications and manage equipment releases.
• Serve as the primary contact for equipment suppliers, monitor due dates and coordinate technical discussions.
• Develop and implement measures to reduce failures, improve quality, increase output and lower costs.
• Maintain and commission carrier systems, support FMEA and Control Plan activities, and ensure spare‑part availability.
• Provide operator training and support 8D problem‑solving processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience in maintenance of electronic or semiconductor equipment.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills for failure analysis and continuous improvement.
