Lead Engineer, Engineering Quality (Aftermarket)

About the role

PROTON is seeking a Lead Engineer for Engineering Quality in the Aftermarket division, based in Tanjung Malim, Perak. The role focuses on ensuring the quality of aftermarket parts and services, supporting the brand’s reputation for reliability and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate aftermarket quality issues reported by customers or internal teams.
• Perform root cause analysis to identify underlying problems.
• Prepare detailed reports documenting findings, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with cross‑functional teams including design, production, and supply chain.
• Monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions and adjust strategies as needed.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience in automotive quality.
• Proven experience in aftermarket quality management or similar environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and trends.
• Excellent communication skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
