Import-Export Customs Operations Internship

About the role

This internship offers a hands‑on experience in import‑export and customs operations within BASF's regional service hub in Malaysia. You will work closely with supply‑chain, logistics and order‑management teams, applying theoretical knowledge to real‑world processes and exploring digital technologies that enhance operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Support tracking of shipment schedules and update details in SAP.
• Learn end‑to‑end shipment processes, Incoterms and customs operations.
• Collect, verify and upload key shipping documents using Power Automate.
• Assist in automation projects to simplify work processes across teams.
• Participate in improvement initiatives and help prepare reporting and data analysis.
• Provide administrative support for import‑export and customs activities.

Required profile

• Current university student pursuing a degree in logistics, supply chain, international trade or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, multicultural environment.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn new digital tools.
