HVAC Engineer – Data Centre (Permanent)

About the role

Mills Recruitment is partnering with a leading data centre company in Malaysia to recruit an experienced HVAC Engineer for a permanent, on‑site position in Kapar, Klang. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the cooling infrastructure that supports critical IT equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install, commission and maintain HVAC systems tailored for high‑density data centre environments.
• Monitor and optimise cooling performance to meet temperature and humidity specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance and fault diagnosis to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with facilities and electrical teams to integrate HVAC solutions with power and fire safety systems.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports and compliance records.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical or related field).
• Proven experience working on HVAC systems in data centre or similar high‑availability settings.
• Strong understanding of cooling load calculations, airflow management and energy efficiency.
• Ability to work on‑site in a fast‑paced environment and adhere to safety standards.
