HR Manager

About the role

Wilhelmsen is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join its Global Business Services team in Kuala Lumpur. Reporting to the HR Director for South Asia and Oceania, you will act as a strategic partner for the Ship Management business unit and lead a small local HR and admin team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver local HR services in line with service level agreements, key performance indicators and stakeholder expectations.
• Serve as HR business partner, advising on people agenda topics for the Malaysia workforce.
• Support organization development initiatives, including restructuring and M&A projects.
• Provide guidance on compensation and reward decisions, including salary benchmarking.
• Coach and follow‑up on annual people processes such as performance management and talent development.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of HR experience, including time as an HR business partner.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and practices.
• Tech‑savvy with the ability to work with digital HR tools.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and solid business acumen.
