Finance Executive

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Executive to join China Telecom’s finance team in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company’s accounts receivable and credit control activities, ensuring accurate financial records and supporting cash‑flow management. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic telecom environment and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end accounts receivable cycle, including invoice generation, distribution, and tracking of payments to guarantee timely collection.
• Conduct credit assessments, set credit limits, and monitor customer credit exposure to mitigate financial risk.
• Liaise with sales, customer service and other internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies and accelerate payment resolution.
• Prepare periodic receivables aging reports, analyze trends, and present findings to senior management for informed decision‑making.
• Support month‑end closing activities by reconciling receivable balances and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance, accounting, or related roles, preferably handling accounts receivable or credit control.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financial data.
• Effective communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders and external customers.
