About the role
SimTech Automation is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join its on‑site team in Penang. The role involves providing mechanical, software, PLC and electrical support to customers, ensuring equipment operates reliably and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Install, commission and test mechanical and electrical systems at client locations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and PLC issues on‑site.
- Perform routine maintenance and preventive checks on automation equipment.
- Document service activities and generate technical reports.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide timely solutions.
Required profile
- Relevant engineering qualification or proven hands‑on experience in field service.
- Ability to work independently on‑site and manage multiple service calls.
- Strong communication skills in English.
