Facility Engineer

About the role

The Facility Engineer will provide technical support and guidance for mechanical works and projects at Bosch's new semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan, Penang. The role focuses on ensuring mechanical systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with Bosch’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and guidance for all FCM mechanical works and projects.
• Define, update, and maintain work instructions and SOPs for mechanical systems.
• Deliver technical training within FCM to improve competency on mechanical work.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for mechanical systems.
• Ensure design, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance comply with Bosch safety requirements, guidelines, and local regulations.
• Manage mechanical projects, controlling quality, cost, and schedule, and report status in weekly meetings.
• Conduct safety checks on mechanical system maintenance and perform facility acceptance tests after each project.
• Oversee RFQ preparation, scope agreement, and customer acknowledgment for all mechanical projects.
• Own mechanical system reliability, capacity, and uptime; develop KPIs and report monthly system uptime and preventive‑maintenance compliance.

Required profile

• Background in mechanical engineering or related technical field.
• Experience with mechanical systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to manage projects with focus on quality, cost control, and timely delivery.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Analytical mindset with problem‑solving capabilities.
• Effective communication skills for training and reporting.
