Export Control Compliance Specialist

About the role

As part of Bosch's Energy and Building Technology business, you will join the global Export Control Officer team to lead the integration of Johnson Controls' HVAC solutions business. You will ensure compliance with all relevant export control and sanctions regulations while supporting business growth in Malaysia.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with global and national export control and sanctions regulations.
• Monitor regulatory changes, assess impact, and propose mitigation measures.
• Implement Bosch Global Standards and translate them into national processes.
• Provide export‑control advice to internal stakeholders across the organization.
• Continuously monitor business activities, review transactions, and release business models.
• Support internal and external audits related to export compliance.
• Manage the export‑license process, including requirement determination, submission preparation, and license monitoring.
• Review and audit US/CN Export Control Classification and update contract clauses.
• Track national law changes and align with global governance.
• Evaluate deemed‑export transactions and ensure proper documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law, international trade, engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in export control compliance.
• Proven ability to advise internal customers on regional and global policies.
• Strong communication skills in English; Japanese proficiency is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial, hands‑on leadership with a results‑driven mindset.
• Capability to work across all organizational levels, including executive leadership.

Required skills

• SAP GTS (or equivalent system) knowledge.
