Export Control Compliance Manager – Energy & Building Tech

About the role
As part of Bosch’s Energy and Building Technology division, the Export Control Compliance Manager will lead the integration of the recently acquired HVAC business into Bosch’s global export control framework. Based at the Bangi plant, you will ensure compliance with both global and Malaysian export control and sanctions regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret changes in export control and sanctions regulations, communicating impacts and mitigation strategies.
- Implement Bosch Global Standards and translate them into national processes.
- Provide export‑control advice to internal stakeholders across all levels.
- Continuously monitor business activities, review transactions, and release business models.
- Lead internal and external audit preparation and support.
- Manage the export licence process, including requirement determination, submission preparation, and licence monitoring.
- Review and audit US and China Export Control Classifications.
- Update export‑control clauses in contracts, NDAs and quotations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in law, international trade, engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in export control compliance.
- Proven ability to advise on regional and global policies.
- Strong written and verbal English; Japanese is a plus.
- Entrepreneurial, results‑driven mindset with high ownership.
Required skills
- SAP GTS (or equivalent export‑control system) knowledge.
